Day 38-43. April 15-19, 2018. Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise, Brisbane, and Tamborine Mountains.

April 14th,2018

Settled into our Surfers Paradise condo/airbnb.


April 15th,2018.

Walked along the surfers paradise beach up to main beach and hung out. The beaches are beautiful, sand soft, water is clear, and they are very clean.

We later had lunch at Sandbar with beach views, Poke and Acai bowls.

Headed to the Commonwealth games festival area to hand out. Sang at a multi- participant karaoke set up at the beach.


We over to broadbeach festival area and watched a cool acrobatic and artsy performance with blocks. We got hungry so we ate at a yummy dumpling place.

April 16th, 2018.

Drove an hour north to Brisbane to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Got to hold a cute Koala and take selfies with kangaroos!


Had some food Arancini balls,at the Charming Squire where we met our friend Martin who we met in Melbourne. We walked around the river bank and saw their bridge and trees lit up, nice foliage covered walkways, and a ferris wheel. We then bar hopped to Little Big House on the South back with a Miami vibe. We then went to the city area to Riverland by the wanter and met up another friend Tim.

April 17th, 2018

Drove down to Burleigh Heads and hung out at the beach. Lunched at California Tacos (ironically) for some fresh and delicious fish tacos!

Stopped by mermaid beach to catch magic sunset hour at the beach.

For dinner, we went to You Japanese for good and affordable Japanese food and met up another yogi friend Yoga Charles and his friend Clarence. We hung out at Clarence’s nice high rise apartment complex called Q1 which used to be the tallest building until the Dubai building was constructed.


Had a rainy morning and had a delicious vegetarian linner (lunch and dinner combo) at Cardamon Pod.

We spent the rest of the day catching up on laundry and relaxing.


Celebrated Bernice’s bachelorette party by having breakfast at our new favorite vegetarian breakfast spot, Cardamon Pod and drove to Tamborine Mountain to see the nice waterfalls and rainforest. We ran out of time for the glow worm cave and drive to the bush for our Karma Yoga stay at the Krishna Village.
