Day 5: Thursday, March 8th, 2018. Jaipur and transfer to Jodhpur.

Visited the Amber fort and Sheesh Mahal. The king before Jaipur was built lived here. He had 12 wives and secret passages to visit his wives who lived in separate quarters.

The Water Palace Jal Mahal was a place for entertainment for the king.

Jantar Mantar- a place with gigantic sundials built by the king. The largest sundial was built and is in the Guiness World Record.

Hawa Mahal a screenwall where to queen could view what was happening in the city but others could not see her.

Visited a textile shop where they had beautiful pashmina’s, block printed textiles, and carpets with camel hair, baby lamb, silk, and Yak.

Picked up the rare blue topaz ring and star of  India earrings from Rajasthan Cottage Industries.
